About Tatyana
Tatyana Palmer studied Piano Performance at McGill University. She has been a frequent award winner in competitions across Ontario, winning the “Top Senior Award and Trophy” at multiple festivals. Tatyana has attended various music programs internationally and has experience teaching all ages and levels.
Tatyana focuses on creativity and individuality through music in her work with every student, striving to make each lesson a positive, engaging experience. She encourages critical thinking and helps students take an active role in their learning by bringing their own ideas to lessons. Tatyana emphasizes correct technique, hand and sitting positions, as well as an understanding of theory and fundamentals to provide a strong foundation for her piano lessons. Tatyana teaches piano at the Laurier Academy of Music and Arts in Waterloo and also runs her own private piano studio
